The quest for a legendary Malbec in an unexplored territory required both experimentation and innovation. Winemakers Santiago Achaval and Roberto Cipresso, drew upon their extensive global experience, examined different soils and experimented with pruning, de-leafing and vinification techniques, to find the right balance between character and elegance.
Tozudo
The search for the optimal expression of grape varieties amid the diverse soils, orientations, and altitudes of the Pucará Valley called for rigorous trial and adjustment. Winemakers Santiago Achaval and Roberto Cipresso meticulously matched Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Torrontés, and Cabernet Sauvignon vines with various microterroirs, to enhance distinctiveness.
